Sapim Race Spoke – 14G – Straight Pull – 265-310 – Black

£1.20 inc. VAT

Sapim Race double butted spokes in black. Cut to any length between 265 and 310mm

A butted spoke is drawn to its specific profile, which defines its high strength.

Race is the most popular double butted spoke from Sapim. Build up tension is easy. Much less torsion and not as elastic as the Laser spokes. The Race provides a better shock absorption than non butted spokes thanks to its thin middle section.

Technical specs

  • Weight: 14G (64 pcs x 260mm) 363g
  • Strength on middle section: 1300 N/mm2
  • Diameter: 14G 2.0 – 1.8 – 2.0mm
  • Strength Tests: 1350 N/mm2

Every spoke comes with a 10p credit towards a nipple. This equates to free Standard 12mm silver brass nipples, just add the nipples you need to the basket and the discount is applied. If required please see our selection of spoke nipples.

All spokes are custom cut in house on our shear and die equipped spoke cutting and threading machine. We currently offer spokes in sizes from 55-310mm cut to any length you require to the nearest mm.  Threads are rolled, not cut, meaning no stress risers are formed, using exactly the same process as a spoke factory.

We recommend using a double butted spoke such as the Sapim Race or DT Swiss Competition for most wheels.  Butted spokes save weight, and greatly increase the fatigue life of a well built wheel.

We are temporarily closed for new orders while we process our backlog and prepare for a summer holiday. We’ll be open again Tuesday 23rd of August. Thank you for your understanding.
